It is arranged that Stalino and Euthynicis (Cleostrata’s son) shall draw lots to see who will determine her future. But Cleostrata develops a stratagem to try to prevent this. (Note: some small fragments of the original script in Act 5 did not survive 2200 years. Neither the translator nor we have made anything up to fill those short gaps – in fact, the translator left some of the nearby text still in Latin – but you can get the idea of who is in big big trouble.)
